Dr. LaTonya Mister, DPT

Born and raised in Mississippi, Dr. Tonya Mister earned her Kinesiology degree from Mississippi State and completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2008. With experience in both orthopedic and skilled nursing settings, she discovered her passion for pelvic floor therapy while treating women at OU Physicians in Oklahoma City.

Driven to meet the needs of underserved populations, Dr. Mister now treats both women and men with pelvic floor dysfunction. She is certified in dry needling and is an active member of the APTA’s Pelvic Health and Private Practice sections, as well as the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce and BNI Lagniappe.

Under her leadership, Sow & Reap PT was honored as 2021 Emerging Business of the Year. Outside the clinic, she enjoys music, family, and creating safe spaces for healing.
